Making — Flagship instrument
After Anton Walter, the Viennese reference maker of the age of Beethoven and Mozart. Built in the workshop, from the structure to the hammers.
Anton Walter · Vienna · 1795–1800

The instrument
Anton Walter is the Viennese maker who defined the sound of European classicism. His instruments — the Viennese action, the lightness of touch, the clarity of the upper register — accompanied the greatest composers of their time. Mozart owned a Walter. Beethoven played several.
It was a concert pianist who started it all: a commission, a challenge, and since then, more than ten instruments built after this model. Every Walter leaves the workshop entirely — structure, kapsul, hammers, actions — nothing is outsourced.
Each instrument is a unique commission. The wood species, the finish, the key width, the action configuration — everything adapts to the performer, never the other way around.
